Why does Sky Mobile have the same coverage as O2?+
Sky Mobile is an MVNO — it buys access to O2's physical masts on a wholesale basis. Sky Mobile customers use the same towers as direct O2 customers. The differences are in pricing, contracts, features like Piggybank, and the Sky-branded customer experience.
What changed when Three and Vodafone merged?+
CMA approved the merger in December 2024; completed May 2025. VodafoneThree formed with 27M+ combined subscribers. Both brands continue separately. £11bn network investment committed. Customers are not being forced to change plans or SIMs.
Can I keep my number when switching?+
Yes — text PAC to 65075 (free, 60 seconds, any UK network). Give the code to your new network when signing up. Number transfers within one working day. Old contract cancels automatically. Do not cancel your old contract beforehand.

Why does Three have faster 5G than EE despite smaller coverage?+
Three holds 140MHz of 5G spectrum — more than any UK rival. More spectrum per mast means more bandwidth and faster speeds. EE has more 5G masts covering more locations (87% vs 62%) but typically with less spectrum per site. Three wins on speed; EE wins on coverage breadth.

What are my rights if my network raises prices?+
Since January 2025, rises must be disclosed upfront in pounds and pence. If a rise was not clearly disclosed at sign-up, you may exit penalty-free. Sky Mobile customers have a 30-day exit right when prices rise under the RPI clause. Unresolved complaints after 8 weeks can go to the Communications Ombudsman or CISAS, free of charge.
